Through private, tailored one-on-one coaching or coaching circles, Mia helps design leaders tackle some of their most complicated challenges through a collaborative, creative approach.
Mia practices the Co-Active methodology of coaching which focuses on developing active, collaborative relationships to inspire direction and action. It’s not just about building plans and setting goals, you’ll be collaboratively crafting a path forward.
One-on-one coaching is specifically designed to each individual leader, including their experienced, environment, and goals. It provides a confidential, creative partner to explore challenges and seek potential solutions. Together, we will explore a breadth of themes, including (but not limited to) management fundamentals, team health, team growth, design vision and execution.
A Design Leadership Coaching Circle provides a safe, intimate environment for exploring and discussing key leadership themes (and challenges) as a group, leveraging the group's experience, knowledge and creativity to strengthen your own skills and leadership techniques.
I asked Mia to help me assess my Product Design organization and pinpoint its strengths and weaknesses. She was an invaluable partner in helping me see around corners and provided great advice that was based on her extensive real world experience. The end result was an up-leveled, happier and more productive team!"

Working with Mia has helped me develop my voice and point of view as a leader. She's able to advise on multiple fronts—from bringing more structure and process to my work and how I lead to helping me navigate some difficult leadership situations—and has a ton of experience to bring to the table when it comes to dealing with the ups and downs of leading at a startup."
— Director of Design, mid-stage startup
Leading a design team can be very challenging. Having someone outside of your organization with great design leadership experience to mentor you is incredibly helpful. Her warm personality, vast experience in the design field and ability to ask the right questions makes Mia the best mentor you can wish for."
— Wouter de Bres, Director of Product Design
I had the best conversation with Mia. Her ability to ask focused questions rocked my identity as a designer. I left the meeting with direction, purpose, and more confidence in myself. Mia, like any great coach, didn’t prescribe solutions, she led me to my own conclusions, with a powerful effect. I am so grateful for the conversation. It’s crazy how one hour can have such a lasting impact on a person.”
